17 years of continuous travel by motorcycle comes to an end for to ride the world's Simon and Lisa Thomas as Lisa's health and then a pandemic change everything for these two riders.

A few years back they bought a home in Wales, but without even doing anything with it, they immediately hit the road again.

After that, they were forced to return home to deal with Lisa's health issues, and then the pandemic hit and they settled into the new home.

So they spent the last two and a half years getting used to living under a solid roof again

with a wood door, glass windows, no flapping tent fabric, no inflatable mattresses, driving a pickup truck

instead of a motorcycle, getting, well, comfortable.

You have to wonder if that comfort of a home changes things for two travelers that have been on the road for that long, and they're both getting older.

Simon is 51. Lisa just turned 60, and we all know how the body refuses to hold up under the demands of a younger you.

I wanted to know how having a permanent home will change things for them, for life and for travel,

and how getting older affects their travel decisions as they move forward.
