The Episode 36, Sherry Black.

It was 2010. On Tuesday, November 30th, 64-year-old Sherry Black was at work. But she didn't work in an office or a factory. Sherry curated a bookshop that specialized in rare, generally Mormon-oriented texts and children's books called B&W collector books and billiards supply, referred to as

B&W billiards and books. This was in South Salt Lake City, the hub of the Church of the Latter-day Saints.

Sherry herself belonged to the Riviera ward of the church. Her husband Earl operated his billiard

table and knife business out of the same building as her shop,

which was next to the couple's house located at 3466 South 700 East, a fairly busy eight-lane roadway.

During the day on Tuesday, Sherry's daughter Heidi tried to call her mom a few times.

Sherry never picked up. Heidi thought this was strange,

but went about her day without too much concern. Maybe Sherry was with customers or wrapped up in a project.

Early on Tuesday afternoon, Sherry's husband Earl arrived at the shop to drop off some supplies. He knew

he'd find Sherry in the shop behind their home. He entered through the unlocked

door and went inside. But Sherry wasn't in the storefront, restoring an old volume or fulfilling

an online customer order as she normally would be. Earl walked through the store calling for his wife.

Nothing seemed to miss except her puzzling absence. But then, he checked the stock room all the way in the back of the store.
