I was at this bus stop and just no money car repossessed and a man walked by me and he

said hi to me and I was like whatever.

I'm Paula Ferris and this is journeys of faith where we talk to people about how their faith guided them

through the best and worst of times. Now you may not think that is the start of a

faith journey but it was for Sherry Shepard. In this episode the comedian and former co-host of the

view shares her story of losing faith and that's when I started crying because I

thought God didn't love me anymore and finding it again.

It is so exciting. I'm so glad that you were able to join us this

afternoon in New York. One thing that I've always admired about you is you can see that there's an inner joy that just radiates from your body it just

exudes from you and why is that what is that joy?

Jesus! Can you say,

man? You know, it's so different from happiness,

because happiness is kind of temporal.

But joy is something that you just have no matter what.

And I, my name really should have been joy, but I just know, I get so excited because I just know that no matter what God has me no matter what he doesn't have any oops moments like you know

He's not sitting there going who I didn't know what this girl was going get a victim. Why didn't y' tell? He never has those moments and when I know that I

know that he's got it all under his control. So when I'm feeling overwhelmed, when I'm feeling

like I don't know what to do what decision to make you know being a

single mom I can get on my knees and go you got it like I give this to you and
