Hey, this is John Gordon with Positive You and today my guest is Sherry Cole. Sherry, how

0:13.4

you doing? I'm doing great, John. Thank you. Sherry, we know each other from your time as

0:18.6

the coach of Oklahoma University women's basketball. Where's the University of Oklahoma?

0:22.9

Which one is it? The University of Oklahoma. Yeah, but it's OU, but University of Oklahoma,

0:26.6

women's basketball. How long did you coach OU for? 25 years. Yeah, yeah, a long, long time.

I was so fortunate to go to a place that was so home for me. I was born and raised in Oklahoma,

0:44.7

Southern Oklahoma and went from the high school level to the university and was given the time

0:51.3

1:33.4

was the head coach at Oklahoma. Yeah. And in high school, actually, my senior English teacher

1:39.6

wrote across my yearbook at the back. I expect to see a novel with your name attached to it someday.

1:45.0

So it was early on that I had this passion for writing and for words. I just combined it with

1:51.1

the love of basketball and the love of basketball took off and went in a very incredible direction first.

1:56.5

But I always knew this was kind of lurking waiting in the wings on the sideline. And at some point

2:01.4

when I was finished pursuing the coaching world, I would decide to sit down and write. So that's

2:07.9

kind of why why the book. I have a lot of books in my head. This was just the first one. And it had
