I'm your host Tommy Ashley, joined by Sherell McMill Millen and Rob Harrington for our third and final offseason inside Carolina

basketball recruiting podcast. Sherell, let's get right to it. Since we last talk, a lot has

happened on the recruiting front. Tell us a little bit about it and what you've been up to the past

month. So yeah, Roy Williams has been very active, probably more active this week in doling out offers than frankly we've really ever seen.

He's given out to date eight offers in the last eight days.

And those go to a variety of players, guys in the 2018 class, guys in the 2019 class, guys at different positions.

I mean, point guards and wings, pretty much everything

out there. Roe Williams is offered that he watched in July. So it is a, I don't want to say a

departure, but it is a different tactic for Royal Williams. He usually does give out multiple

offers at the end of July, but we've never seen them with this frequency.

So for the past months, pretty much the IC team has been across the country in Las Vegas,

in Atlanta, Spartanburg, Indianapolis, everywhere there's been AU tournaments and just tracking some of the players that North Carolina is interested in and also tracking who the coaching staff is watching. So as I said, there's been eight offers over the last, you know, seven and a half, eight days since the evaluation period ended. And, you know, there could be a couple more coming over the next week or so. We'll see. But it definitely paints a picture of what Roy Williams is looking for in the rising junior and the rising senior class.

Rob, I know you've been out and about and on the circuit. With all these offers, any one of those

offers surprise you? And then maybe what were the offers that were just like well expected or that

you knew they were coming from Roy Williams? He just needed a little more time. Well, certainly,

I think most everyone was expecting them to offer Nassir Little and Simi Chitu.

I mean, those are two guys who, however they're ranked, there's certainly blue chip prospects,

people who would be able to come in and play as freshmen.

So that was kind of part for the course.
