world, and it's the source of truth, the source of our hope and

courage, and we need so much of that right now today.

Sheila, we're talking about God's faithfulness in a world where so much is uncertain, we

often are asking what can we depend on?

What's not going to change?

Who's going to be here for me and whose promises can I depend on? So would you just give us a

working definition as someone who studied the subject of God's faithfulness so much? What does it

mean that God is faithful? Yeah, that's a great question. And honestly, for me, it really means that if God has said something, you can literally stake your life on it. There's over 6,000 promises in the Word of God. And sometimes promises that are in the Old Testament, people think, well, you know, that's maybe specific to a specific time, a specific

situation as it may well be. But in Christ, all of God's promises, scripture says, are yes,

and amen, which means that if God has said something, you know that there's no way God could go

against who he is. And I think the older I get, the longer I've walked with

the Lord, the more I become acutely aware of my own failures. And that's the incredible thing

about the Lord. You know, it's not like we suddenly become like these superhuman people.
