Needing to pay off her student loans, she started giving

facials to friends in a small office space. But it wasn't long before age 26, Marcia launched

Five businesses, but let's go back to the beginning and get the whole picture.

You grew up in Canada, but you famously moved to New York

age 17. Why did you do that? I had been to New York to visit my older sister when I

was 16 and I found it really enthralling, interesting, vibrant and stimulating.

And when I went back to Canada for my last couple of years of high school, I kind of knew I couldn't stay there anymore when there was something like New York out there. So when I graduated from 12th

grade I decided that I was going to go to New York and try to make it go of it.

Doing what? Did not know. So you arrived. I arrived.

Three hundred dollars in your pocket. Yes. And I did have a few skills. So I put the skills that I had to use at the time. So in Canada, I had used my spare time to be a bodybuilder. Now you can't see that now.
