20,000 pound loan from her father.

Developing an international reputation for designing stylish luxury women's

wear, she was pioneered by the late Diana Princess of Wales.

Amanda went on to be dealt some of the hardest knocks the industry can throw, losing, then ultimately

buying back her eponymous brand.

Throughout her career, she has remained determined

to bring luxury lifestyle clothing to discerning women

and is today favored by the likes of Kate Middleton,

Thank you. It's lovely to be here. Let's start at the beginning. What are your earliest memories

of being interested in clothing and fashion? Oh, when I was a small child, literally delving into the dressing up box, I had very glamorous

grandmothers who were very generous with their offcasts and their Sari's from Sri Lanka at the time or

you know their old fur capes or whatever it was and they were incredibly kind about not worrying about me tearing things up and

remaking them and and yes make making them into something different. So did you always want to make your own clothes?

I always did it intuitively.

It wasn't something that I set out on a path to do.
