0:10.0

This week, I'm joined by Charlotte Collins, Myer Lucky and founders of the Step Up Club, Alice

0:15.2

Owens and Fenella Mail Fine. Thank you ladies for joining us. So let's start off talking

0:20.0

about London Fashion Week. Charlotte, you were there yesterday. So we're kind of in the midst of London Fashion Week. As we speak, well, it'll be over by the time. This is broadcast. Everybody can go to bed and get back to normal scheduling. Does that why you sound so horse this morning? Yeah, that is why I'm not necessarily my freshest. But yeah, I had a great day yesterday doing a load of the shows. So I saw Annie Hamash in the morning, which was amazing actually. I was saying to the team before because the show started about half an hour late. So sometimes you kind of go into the show space and it's all dark and you might kind of catch sight of the old editorial tree, but you don't necessarily see that many people because the show started

0:54.4

late they didn't open the doors for like half an hour so everyone was standing on the street and i mean

0:59.5

everyone edward ennful eva chan javon and a badglia like literally getting his half a bit of

1:03.8

standing on the morning so i don't think anyone was like had been too inconvenience yet in their day

1:10.5

um but yeah it wasn't raining and why were they half an hour late did it merit being half an hour so I don't think anyone was like, had been too inconvenienced yet in their day.

1:12.4

But yeah, it wasn't raining.

1:13.6

And why were they half an hour late?

1:24.3

Did it merit being half an hour late? It was a lovely show, I have no idea. It was quite technical. They kind of built like a, it was like a doll's house and it kind of all lit up, and then all the models kind of, it was like the doll's house came alive, and the models kind of came in and out of it

1:25.4

and it was all kind of

1:26.1

cutesy and fun

1:27.4

but it was just

1:28.3

the most amazing people watching

1:29.7

like ridiculous

1:30.4

and she always does something really cool with her shows. She's kind of renowned for it. What was her party piece? It was this structure. So it just looked like it was all dark and then as the show started, it was like every window and doorway kind of lit her up. and as they say, all the models came out and it was so complicated. I have no idea how they knew where they were,

2:00.2

which door they were going back in. You know those like cuckoo clocks where the doors pop open and girls come out and then they go back in. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, like it was like that. It was kind of, and then the house like died at the end. They kind of went in and then it was like a kind of malfunctioning and it died.

2:01.1

It was really cool.

2:03.4

What was the link between the invitation and the show?

2:52.5

I think it was the 1930s house. Yes, I think that was the connection. I see it. Because the same. It wasn't brand of the habit. Oh, I see, fine. Clearly this passed me by. That makes sense. Alice, you're from a fashion background. I am. up your careers now? I mean, I know that Step Up, the club, the book is just going phenomenally well. Are you, do you still have your careers on top of that? Yes, I think ever since we started, we felt very strongly and that it was incredibly important that we both still had our kind of, our separate careers, feed into the step-up club and they help give us our own personalities kind of both in careers terms and just in our own interests and increasingly they're being absorbed into the step-up club but I think we'll always I mean I continue to write freelance and finella still does her coaching. I think it's important that we still have that.

2:57.3

But I mean, less and less just gives you to time pressures and things like that.
