I came from experiences where it's just like drag beings are intimidating and loud and they'll read you to film.

You know, it was just, it was kind of like all these things and like, yes, a lot of those things are true, but drag queens I've learned are incredibly kind, tender-giving, sweet people.

Crown. Big congrats to her, and so to celebrate her much deserved win, we wanted to bring

you this interview that we did with Shea that originally aired in February on the Luminary

app.

You know, how Shea describes her drag, I think is terribly fascinating and also really surprising.

Shea says that her drag is an extension and a reflection

of the deepest and most true parts of who she is.

She says that Shea, her character, is not a character at all.

It's just her at her most authentic.

You say it's not about parody or impersonation that it's about revealing this deeper

side of you.

I think that's really unique.

I feel like at least for me, I think drag is one of those things, especially just kind of

in the society in which we live where being born, cis is there's such a hierarchy that exists between

gender identity and expressions. And I think people that are born with the privilege of being

male when they kind of ditch that and embrace things that are feminine, I feel like, you know,
