Summary

Many wonderful things happen at NCECA! One of the events that is so amazing is the student pottery throwing contest that is sponsored by Skutt. Students compete for 3 days and the winner of each day wins $100 and then the three winners pieces are judged for the grand winner. The grand place winner is awarded a potters wheel. And Michelle Gawedzki was the grand prize winner!

We had an absolutely amazing class this last Saturday. It was just

stunning. Susan Halls came back and taught another class. There's two classes that she's taught

for us now. The first class was Animal Magic, and it was magical. We made an amazing

rabbit in that class, or a hair, if you'd like to say it that way. But wow, that was amazing.

And now this new class that we did was called P pot animals.

And in this one, she showed us how to bring pinch pots to the next level.

Absolutely stunning.

I mean, the two classes are totally different from each other.

One has to, I mean, they're both, you know, Susan Halls and who doesn't want to spend time with her. But I'm saying is that the one was more of a slab type of a make, and then this one that we did this last week was pinch pot animals. And one person wrote in the comments,

they said, this is the best potter's class I've ever taken.
