So you guys may have heard or read on Twitter that I have this new microphone.

It's a new development for me.

It's very flashy. I'm really proud of it, but getting a new microphone is a bit like a two-sided issue here because now that I have a

microphone that can pick up, not only my voice with overwhelming clarity, but everything around me. I start becoming more aware of my

environment and when I sat down to record Goo today I realized that there were, well my house is surrounded by trees and this appears

to be cicata season and and Salina you didn't know what a cicata was but

essentially they're like locus I'm not quite sure what they look like but they make this constant sound

that's right beware for your first warrants everybody I improvised I'm gonna be honest here I you know searched high and low around my house for a

potential place to record where I could somehow drown out this this insane bug noise and so I settled on of all places my bedroom closet.

Because why not? Because why not? Well it's got a door I can close. So my bed, like where I normally record

the podcast in my room is right next to the window and there's these cicadas outside.

And so I was like, well, I need to be at least a door's length away but if I go into the living room there's more windows there and those are even closer to the trees.

So I needed a door that wouldn't take me closer to the cicadas. I had to remove my shoes and everything from my closet and I'm actually

recording in here with my suits which are the only things left because they're

they're a bitch to take off the hangars because they're so heavy. But anyway, so I am in my closet right now.

And now we challenge all the listeners.

And testing out my brand new microphone at the same time.
