Today we're going to be talking about decolonizing Christmas.

Now, these are conversations that we often have around the holidays on Columbus Day, leftists

are saying it's Indigenous People's Day.

On Thanksgiving, they're saying Thanksgiving didn't happen in the way that we know it historically,

and that the Native Americans and their colonizers were not sitting across from each other

and having a feast and therefore we shouldn't either.

A lot of leftists abstain from going to family holidays like Thanksgiving because they disagree with their family on politics. And today we're going to be reacting to a leftist woman who says she's going to be decolonizing Christmas. Now as I said before, I'm not sure what that means, but I think she's going to explain it to us. And this video comes with a recipe. So that's fun.

I'm having a decolonized Christmas this year. Making holiday treats celebrating indigenous ingredients.

So she says she's going to be celebrating indigenous ingredients this Christmas. The only issue is

indigenous people did not celebrate Christmas. There's no historical evidence that they had anything

like a Christmas celebration.

So I'm not sure how you can decolonize something when the colonizers didn't really come and take an indigenous tradition that was Christmas and change it with colonialism.

If you really wanted to decolonize Christmas, I'd imagine what you'd have to do is sort of strip

it of the Christian belief and tradition and celebrate a pagan holiday, since that's really where this comes from.
