Summary
After relocating from Arizona to a small house in St. Ann, Missouri, she expected an adjustment period. What she didn’t expect was the feeling that something in the house refused to settle.
The basement light wouldn’t stay off. Footsteps echoed down the hallway when no one was there. A familiar squeak at the front door announced an arrival—yet the entry remained empty. Then her friend saw it. A tall black figure in what looked like a long trench coat, standing just behind the door.
