there was a big storm and we had to leave the tugboat.

So we, in fact, lost part of one of our precious days

because there was like too much lightning, too close to the boat.

So we had to go skittering off.

And like everybody's like the sound guy's umbrella was flying out.

And it was like just a total disaster.

In this episode, a composer with writer's block rediscoveres his passion after an adventurous one-night stand.

In director Rebecca Miller's drama, she came to me.

The film tells the story of Stephen, who is unable to finish the score for his big comeback

opera. At the behest of his wife and former therapist Patricia, he sets out in search of

inspiration, but finds much more than he bargained for

in the form of Katrina, a tugboat captain with her own obsessions. In addition to

she came to me, Miller's other directorial credits include the feature films Maggie's Plan,

the Ballad of Jack and Rose, Angela, and the documentary, Arthur Miller, writer.

Following a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in New York,

Miller spoke with director Noah Bombach about filming she came to me.

I was thinking of that, I think it's about rules of the game, that Jean Renoir quote of everybody has their reasons, you know, and that you clearly love everybody in the movie.

And I, you know, even though it's like, at the same time time the movie acknowledges how complex everything is, there's this affection for everybody.

Yeah, I think that's true.

I mean, I think that ultimately I can't help.
