On today's show, I'm joined by Fox Sports Lead Producer for its US soccer and MLS broadcasts Shaw Brown who might be the most

interesting soccer person in America whom you've never heard of.

This is a great listen for anyone interested in getting into the soccer media business here.

Brown is a total pro, but he did tell me about the one exception he makes for getting a player

to sign an autograph.

About four or five years ago, I said, oh my God, it's almost eight years ago now.

Adidas put out the ball, the World Cup ball, from every World Cup from 1970 on.

And one of the few times that my wife was like hey this is really cool like you've got all these

balls what do you want to do with it and I thought to myself what would be awesome is if I could get a player

from the winning team just one to sign each ball it would be awesome.

Our guest this week is one of the most interesting people in US soccer that you have probably never heard of.

Truth be told, Shaw Brown would probably prefer it that way.

But I finally persuaded him to come on the show.

Shaw is currently Fox Sports lead producer for its

MLS and US soccer broadcasts. Full disclosure I often work with Shaw with

Fox and he has a long history covering the sport for NBC sports and ESPN going all the way back to the 1990s.

He'll be in Russia this summer with Fox's top broadcast team.
