1:10.0	For the last weeks I have been watching the protests in Iran with great admiration and even increasingly a little bit of hope.
1:25.0	It's easy in those situations to forget the first principles.
1:30.0	The first principle here is just that the Iranian regime is a oppressive
1:36.6	pheocratic regime which stops its citizens from flower rushing and particularly stops women in Iran from
1:44.4	flourishing and that the people who are protesting against this regime were
1:49.8	risking the lives in order to win a chance to try and build a better life,
1:55.0	to serve our admiration and insofar as we can do something our solidarity.
2:05.0	I also want to address two questions which a friend of mine with roots in Iran put to me a few days ago.
2:12.0	The first is about what the prospects all these protests are.
