In the early morning hours of November 20, 1988, the fire department in Thornton, Colorado

was notified of a fire at a house on Columbine Court. It was believed that the house was vacant

as the owner spent his weekends in a different town. Fire trucks arrived on the scene and extinguished

the blaze. They reported finding poor patterns near the entry from the garage into the house.
