When I have guests on my podcasts, I read their books to work out questions for the episodes.

When reading these books, I always find such amazing information that never makes it into the podcast.

And here, I get a chance to give you a peek into the book.

I've put a link to the book in the show notes and I did seek permission to record this

extract and the author kindly said yes. I'm going to be reading from chapter 13 and this is an

extract titled Shared Death Experiences and this is what Tony has written.

Shared death experiences are occurrences that usually happen to a person or people who are at the

deathbed when the person in the bed is close to dying or has just died. As the person in bed passes

away, one or more of those present have experiences

that appear identical to that of the dying person. These experiences are similar to those who

have had a death experience. For example, they might see something leaving the body, such as a light

or a globular, greyish, golden luminosity.

As the person in the bed dies, the bystander also leaves their physical body and goes partway with their loved one.

Others see light filling the room, or dead relatives coming into the room to escort the relative away.

Some who have accompanied a dying person partway on their journey

also witness and experience the dying person's life review.

Raymond Moody, in his 2011 book, Glimpses of Eternity,

wrote that the two things in a shared death experience
