exploring connections to historical events and people with a personal interest in American history,

craft, and culture. Katie is also an internationally exhibited multimedia artist

and a longtime servant to the nonprofit arts community.

Katie is also a bacterial meningitis

and spinal cord injury survivor and advocate.

She shared her story of survival with millions to help raise awareness and prevention
