Welcome to Kefaru cast. I have a very unique, I guess I would say,

guest today for me anyway, because I am not into surfing, but I believe from

what I understand I have the best Shane Dorian on the podcast what's going on

Hey good morning man. Thanks for having me. So to be on. Oh yeah yeah for sure I sure. I kind of interesting. I've followed along, you know, with your career and then, you know, you were on Rogan and social media and everything else,

but I've never been into surfing other than watching it,

but I had told a few people,

I think I'm gonna have Shane,

you're a fucking legend man,

like I, we're in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming and people were like are you kidding I'm like now he's they're hopping on the podcast

That's cool man. Yeah, it's a small world. I mean I think we have a lot in common and, I mean, first of all, I love Wyoming. I've been, I'm in the snowboarding in Jackson Hole since I was, you know, like in my 20s.

So, really love it out there. I've never actually hunted in Wyoming so that's on my list.

Yeah, heck yeah. Well tell everybody that's you know redneck like me and doesn't know

everything about surfing a little bit about like your your history and what you've done in that world and as well as you know hunting and everything else.

Yeah, so brief history is I was born and raised in a little town called Kona in Hawaii and yeah just just like a kid growing up in Hawaii is kind of not a whole lot to do besides surfing and my parents ran a little restaurant that was right on the ocean and so I learned to like as soon as I learned to walk I like learned to swim I started riding waves and fishing and diving and just my whole life was in the ocean and I ended up

My father ended up cutting one of his old really long surfboards down into like my size on on my fifth birthday.

So I got that surfboard for my fifth birthday and fell in love with surfing and kind of never looked back.

It was like the thing that I always, you know, kind of turned to like throughout like my, you know, high school year, like my, like my pre-high school years and my high school years I just was
