This is an IHeart podcast. Last year, really good year, really noteworthy year.

And now, I mean, I was just talking to you before we pressed record about the added attention and all the added foot traffic through here.

And so you just started spring ball.

All the attention's great.

But I imagine sometimes it's like you got to pull the hot air balloon back down to earth and remind guys we don't get to pick up where we left off. We start from scratch. We are oh-and-o at anything this year's team accomplishes is going to be because of this year's team. Has that been a problem or do guys kind of get it? I think guys get it since they came back in January, it's a group that's very confident

because they know that we have a chance to be a really good football team, but very hungry as well

about the way the last year ended. I mean, we're excited about the season that we had,

winning nine games, but there's still a great hunger for what we didn't accomplish,

and then we fell a little bit short of ultimate goals. So they've been very purposeful, very driven since they came back in January

and that's been exciting to see. But you're exactly right. And that's the point that we've made is,

yeah, we have a chance to be a really good team, but also understand that there's high expectations

for, yeah, there's players that are returning

but these high expectations are because of what we did last season and a lot of the guys that did

that are no longer a part of this program they're getting ready to move on to the NFL so understanding

that it doesn't just happen there was a lot of work that went into the the 2014 on and off the field and 2025 has got to be even more.

When I'm watching a series on Netflix, you know, you'll have a character who thinks they're

mad or like they think they're driven and then some inflection point happens in their life.

And you could see it, it triggers a totally different layer to their mind. And they just, they just go scorched earth. Last year, you guys had like a moment where that happened. I don't, I can't remember it's the Oklahoma game or something like that, but I remember you kind of saying, hey, after that, or it may have been the Bama game, whatever it was, but he said after that, it just kind of clicked for us. Like, we're done with this. We're done with almost. We're done with close. And you kind of went on a rampage the rest of the year. But that was from the outside. I saw that from the outside. What was that sort of inflection point moment like leading the program? Yeah. No, it's a great point. You know, you come into the season,

we had high expectations. Nobody outside this building thought we were going to be worth

a crap. So if you remember week two, we go up to Kentucky and win that game in impressive

fashion and all of a sudden the narrative about this program changes. So that was a really good

moment for our team in regards to the 2024 team, season, because we had just come off a season
