So we left part one back in February 2019 and Shemima Begham had been discovered in a refugee camp in Syria by a British journalist. And news of her discovery as one of the ISIS-4, as I'm going to call them, spread like wildfire.

Oh, you love it, don't you? Peru too, ISIS four. You've got,

you like a little number. How the British press couldn't come up without themselves, I don't know,

Bethan. And yeah, soon journalists were literally queuing up to interview her at this refugee camp in Syria.

Speaking to BBC journalists in 2019, Shemima recounted that shortly before arriving in Raka,

the truck that she and her friends had been travelling in came to a sudden stop in the middle of a dusty field.

The driver of the truck got out without a word and left, leaving Shemima, Cadizah and a mirror sitting alone in total darkness.
