We are four days from the election.

We are in November, though it is a beautiful 70 degrees here in New York City.

So it doesn't feel like November.

And it doesn't, oddly, despite the fact that we've been now talking about this for two years,

it doesn't really feel like the election is upon us, although I read that 65 million people have already

voted nationwide. And I think in 1972, 65 million people was the electorate of the United

States. So just to give you a sense of where America is now versus where it was 50 years ago, the lower end of projections have it that we're going to see somewhere around 147 million votes in this country. And the upper projections are that it'll be closer to 160.

That's a pretty striking fact and finds us at a, we're at this weird, paralytic moment where

we're, on the one hand, like a third, you know, more than, more than a third of the electorate

has voted or, quote, more, and on the other hand,

then two thirds are still going to vote.

News is being broken, but we don't know how much effect that's going to have
