Shame. But we can only destroy one person a night. Shame. He was actually able to show

I suddenly feel with social media like I'm tiptoeing

around an unpredictable, angry, unbalanced parent

who might strike out at any moment.

I'm Anne, Strange Champs, and as you've probably figured out by now, our topic today is shame.

We all have secret, painful memories of being shamed, getting beat up in sixth grade,

laughed at on the playground, saying something unforgettably stupid.

But what if your humiliation is so public it feels like everyone on the planet knows?

What if you've been savaged on Twitter, mocked and humiliated online?

What if you feel like Monica Lewinsky?

Anyone who is suffering from shame and public humiliation needs to know one thing.

You can survive it. I know it's hard. It may not be

painless, quick, or easy, but you can insist on a different ending to your story. Have compassion

for yourself. We all deserve compassion, and to live both online and off in a more compassionate world.
