Thank you. Well, as I've kind of looked back on the last year, I think I've realized that I feel more acquainted, more acquainted than ever with just how broken and busted this world really is.

Just as I've thought back on the last year, I just thought about how almost exactly a year ago

my wife and I lost a baby through a miscarriage. And then as we've journeyed through life with other people,

we have multiple friends who have also lost babies kind of along the way through miscarriages.

And then over the past year, I've been to four different funerals, and all four of them

were absolutely heartbreaking.

And that's just what's been going on in my life.

But then when I look out at what's going on in the rest of the world,

just to name two things, there have been over 100 terrorist attacks in this world just

in the past year.

And then if that wasn't enough, we are in the middle of the greatest refugee crisis since World War II.

And so I think what I'm really saying is that more than ever, I feel acquainted with the

problem of evil in our world.

And here's the thing with the problem of evil.

The problem of evil in this world is actually one of the

greatest hindrances for people to come to faith in Jesus Christ. And maybe you're sitting here

tonight and you would say that you're spiritually skeptical. And one of the main reasons that you're

spiritually skeptical is because of the pain that you've experienced in your life. It's because you have been scorched in some ways.

You have not made it through this world without being impacted by the problem of evil.

Before there was Bo Burnham, before there was Kevin Hart or Chris Rock,

there was a guy named George Carlin.

And he is considered one of the most influential comedians of all time.
