We've called this series not quickly broken, which is hopefully going to be the opposite of your New Year's resolutions.

And that was a joke because usually they were very quickly broken.

But Second Chronicles 20 is where we're going to God just specifically guided me to this passage for our time this week and I'm real excited about it.

The title of my message is for our time this week and I'm real excited about it.

The title of my message is Shaken and Stirred.

Shaken and Stirred, which is in addition to a great way to piss off James Bond, doesn't want its martini shaken and

stirred, just wants it shaken, not stirred, but our souls can be shaken and stirred.

Amen.

All right, Second Chronicles 20,

it says it happened after this

that the people of Moab,

with the people of Moab, with the people of Ammon,

and others with them, besides the Ammonites,

came to battle against Jehoofat. I want to talk to you for a little bit about this guy,

Jehosefat, and in addition to being a very fun name to say,

Jehosefat, he gives us a tremendous example of what it looks like to be not quickly

broken. But before we can really understand that we need to understand what's happening as we jump

into this because it says it happened after this. So we're at a disadvantage if we're

not like you know up to date on all that's been going on in Jehosephat's life lately.

So here's basically what happened that brought us to this day.

Jehosephat had a good father named Aisa who set a good example for him.

And Jehosefat took that example and ran with it.
