Church, I'm so excited to share this message with you.

The title of this sermon is Shake It Off.

In case you can't tell, we are in a studio here in Seattle.

I've got about 30 of my closest friends,

and we're excited to have a moment studying scripture,

but also to share this moment with you.

And it never ceases to amaze me.

Every time we go to the supernatural story book

that has been called the Bible for thousands of years,

we see Jesus in a fresh and new way.

And I think that's going to happen here.

I want to tell you a story,

and then just make a couple of observations

about that story, that's all.

And we're going to insert ourselves here

in what is now called Acts 28.

Of course, there were no chapters and verses

when it was originally written.

It was just one big long story about the first Christians

and the first churches that form in the known world.

By the time we get to Acts 28,

there is this guy named Paul, who used to be Saul.
