Shai Agassi is a graduate of the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

He is a serial entrepreneur in the software space, having started several companies in Israel

and top-tier software, which was headquartered in California and then acquired by SAP in 2001.

Since that time, Shai rose to the ranks at SAP and most recently was the president of the Product and Technology Group

until he resigned a month or so ago to pursue his interest in clean energy and climate change.

In 2005, Shai was also selected to be a member of the Young Global Leaders Forum,

of the World Economic Forum at Davos, and in this context, he proposed converting an entire country

to an electric fleet of vehicles. Since this, since that time, this idea has gained a lot of traction

in high places in governments,

especially in Israel, and hopefully Shai will be able to tell us more about the status of this ambitious initiative as it stands today.
