You know what? I'm feeling very diamond today. Um, and I'm just I'm ready to hit it. Let hit it. Yeah, totally.

But if anybody is curious that clickety-clackety clickety-clack was the sound of a keyboard, but it's like a fidget toy. Yeah, totally. So it's just four keys. Uh-huh.

It's like the arrow keys that would be on a computer. Exactly. Yeah. So you could just holding it hand. You could just tip it, tap it, tap it, tap it. Cause you know, like modern keyboards typically don't have that clickety-clack that you want anymore. And it's very satisfying.

It is. It definitely is. And it also allows me to pull such gags as saying, oh, let me just check my files. Um, affirmative. Yes.

The key just flew off the keyboard. Yeah. Yeah. It's the keyboard equivalent to losing a nail. What can I say? I tap so fiercely that my key flew off. Anyway, how are we doing today?

I'm doing great. I'm feeling a lot better. Yeah. Sounding a lot better. Really are. Yeah. Cause it was a struggle for a minute there, honey. I was struggling.

It's it's listen. There has been a cloud over this household in the form of my spider that I have wandted my entire life um was on its way to me and then Canada post lost it. Yeah. Couldn't find the package. Didn't know where it was. They didn't know if it was coming to me. They didn't know if it was being returned to sender like my 않ung spider Mary Shelley

I paid for priority shipping which is like one to two days max. Yeah. That's the get my baby to me service. Exactly. Yes. The get my baby to me service. Yeah. You know what they didn't do. They didn't get my baby to me until a week later. Uh which means Mary Shelley was in the mail for a week. Yeah. Which is pretty precarious. No. Not ideal. Yeah. Uh very scary. Actually very upsetting. But it turned out that she did have a moist paper towel in there. So she was able to drink some water. Yeah. So she's a little bit hot.

I'm hydrated. Although I I've heard that spiders actually can't like suck water because the little mouths don't really work that way. Okay. But I think it's still it provided her the humidity that she needed the comfort that she needed. Yeah. And when I got her I was so nervous. Yeah. It was early in the morning. So Johnny was still asleep. Yeah. So it was just me and Mary Shelley in the bathroom in the bathtub. Yeah. I was like a housing her classic tale. Right. Totally. Yeah. And when I first opened her up because the way they packed them they put them in paper towel and put them

in a vial like it's a very like tight situation. Yeah. Um and when I was unwrapping her she didn't really move. Mm hmm. And I thought the worst had happened. But then she really fucking moves. Yeah. And she almost ran out of her enclosure. Yeah. And then I had to fight her off with a with a a paint brush. Yeah. Totally. Because you can kind of like corral your spider with a paintbrush. Yeah. That was the thing you met your baby and then suddenly you were adversaries. Yeah. Yeah. But the thing it I mean little tiny spiders are terrible.

Yeah. Totally. Yeah. Totally. We are a very intimidating creature to a spider like we might be afraid of spiders but trust and believe spiders are way more afraid of you. Mm hmm. And that's the tea. Yeah. But anyway. Now that she's home she's been in her enclosure. She's eaten her first cricket this morning. Yeah. And you know what? My records indicate. According to her guest experience report she is enjoying her stay so far. Yeah. She says thank you for the cricket. Uh huh. I'm I'm glad that I didn't go into a multi cycle.

Yes. Because otherwise that I would have been the cricket's dinner. It's true. I'm learning about spiders as you can see. Yes. I'm still afraid to look her in in the eyes but I'm learning. You'll get there. It's not about me. It's about you. Her eyes are so small. You can hardly even see them. Yeah. And she's your Todd. Like she she makes you so happy. Yeah. And I'm so happy to see you so happy. And that's the thing. I just was so excited to bring it up because it's like the clouds have parted. And a spider has come down from the heavens. And that's it. And like everything everything like

cleared at the same time it was like we discovered corn. You know what I mean because when you discovered corn everything changed. Yeah. Your whole concept of rap and metal really changed. Follow the leader was a seminal album. I mean it really brought us into the early 2000s. It really changed the game. It really did. Yeah. I mean, we got the life. I mean, God, I could go on for days. Yeah. Yeah. But just to finish that thought like everything cleared at the same time. The day that Mary Shelley arrived was also the day that like we started feeling a whole lot better.

It was also the day that we like took some time to tidy the house after weeks of being sick. So like I'm feeling good. Yeah. I'm feeling like we're starting May on the right foot. Absolutely. Now without being said a caveat with today's episode because we have only just started feeling human again in the last few days. We were not able to prepare a regular regular episode. It just wasn't in the cards like Tyler wasn't able to sleep through the night, et cetera. Well, enough about that.

But the point is today we are going to be doing a listener's stories episode. We are. So get into it. If this is your first time listening to one of these style episodes, we are not going to be doing two topics this time. But instead we are going to be covering eight stories that have been sent into us by listeners. Yeah. Yeah. And they are freaking good. Like I'm really excited for this crop. Absolutely.
