Hi everybody, and welcome to the Rabbi Daniel Lapin show,

where I, your rabbi, that's me, Rabbi Daniel Lapin,

will reveal how the world really works.

And I think we'll dispense with the happy warrior intro today just for a change,

and we'll dive right into things, although I never stop thinking of you all as happy warriors.

And I never stop thinking of you all as powerful, good-looking, effective,

focused, visionary, accomplished human beings. And so, not surprisingly, I think of my listening demographic as the very best of the best, a listening demographic that demands the ultimate from me and forces me to aspire to absolutely the best of which I'm capable in the sphere of broadcasting and podcasts.

Have you ever heard people nod their heads sagely and sanctimoniously as they say, I am an economic conservative.

And the reason that they sound so virtuous and noble when saying, I am an economic conservative,

is they think that what they are really saying is that I'm a responsible person, I understand economics, and so I'm a conservative when it comes to economics.

But at the same time, I'm a sensitive person, I want to mind my own business.

I don't want to regulate other people's lives in any way whatsoever.

I'm an economic conservative.

Well, the reality of being an economic conservative is number one.

You're not really.

You may think you are, but you're not.

And number two, here's what you are really saying.
