Are traditional beliefs about men and women, about sex, about marriage, which in the West are

largely rooted in Christianity or Judeo-Christian values? Is that the problem? Because that has

been something of the main thrust of the argument for aspects of the modern feminist movement,

certainly aspects of the sexual revolution. And the more you start

to learn about the experts that are commonly referenced as the people that were the ones

pushing and providing the data, the studies, the philosophical arguments for those revolutions,

that is a large part of their argument. And so what we're going to discuss today is not just the sexual revolution that took

place and is usually attributed to the 1960s in America and other places in the West,

but we're also going to talk about another sexual revolution that took place about 2,000

years ago and the impact that had on Western society and specifically Rome.
