We're in a collection of messages that we've called sex and the scriptures. And this is week two,

and last week we had an incredible message to kick us off. We really looked at the thing under the

thing. And so often in life, what we can see above the surface when it comes to a glacier

is so much more represented by down what's below,

what's down below. And that's really where we began looking at what can be under the

underneath the surface in our lives driving some of the choices we make when it comes to

relationships and sex that can be unhealthy. It can be coming from an empty place like we saw

exhibited in the life of Samson.

And today we're going to look at the thing itself. So we're going to look at what's above the

surface. We're going to talk about sex. Now, when I was in 10th grade, I went on a month-long

mission trip to the Philippines, and I raised money the whole year for it. It worked so hard to save up

the money, and I was so disappointed because the day, literally, I got there, the whole

city of Manila and its makeup when it comes to one of the most densely populated cities on

the planet, the smog, the pollution, the hundred degree temperatures, the soaring humidity, and my asthma all

worked together to be a cocktail to make it so difficult to breathe. And I had to go to almost

the entire trip to the emergency room every single day to get a breathing treatment just to make

it through the trip, And it was scary and

all of the things. But I was never in my life that I'm aware of so happy to get back to the clean

air that we can take for granted at times in our country. It was just the breath of fresh air without

that smog and that humidity. It was so

life-giving to just be able to breathe. In our culture, we continuously live and operate in
