In 2015, she was a fresh-faced graduate just out of college.

And even now, you can hear the thrill in her voice when she describes it.

As an entry-level engineer, Emmy had two bosses to answer to, a line manager.

But then there was a more immediate superior, known as her tech lead.

He was, from the very start, a bit too friendly.

My tech lead was really the person who had control over, like, what I did every day.

And he would use our one-on-one meetings to, you know, ask me to set him up with my friends.
