Most parents want their kids to do well, to be happy.

So in many ways, this man from from the Netherlands, should be perfectly normal.

They are coming now to visit me and they are very proud.

They're very beautiful children, too very good school.

They are happy.

But what isn't so normal is that he didn't know he had any children.

And now he has 50 of them, with mothers he's never met, somewhere out there in the world.

But it is quite a lot.

Nico is one of many men who donated sperm in the Netherlands anonymously,

and have now learnt that the clinics were ignoring the guidelines and selling the sperm on to legions of women.

Nico has unwittingly spawned an entire tribe of children.

It is playing with life and it is absolutely forbidden.

What happens when these children meet? What if they fall in love with each other

without realizing their siblings?

And what are the ethics of allowing some men to have tens or even hundreds of children

carrying their DNA into the future? After all, it's what some tech titans have been trying to achieve for years.

If people don't have more children, civilization is going to crumble.
