I'm Jonathan Kay.

Many of you have been listening to me say those introductory words for a few years now.

What you may not know is that before I started hosting the

Koolette Podcast I had my own podcast called Wrong Speak, which I co-hosted

with Sex Neuroscientist, Writer, and fellow Torontonian Deborah Soo.

As many listeners pointed out at the time,

Deborah had a lot more star potential than me,

but I like to fire back that there's no shame in playing the role

of Art Garfunkel to Paul Simon or John Oates to

Darrell Hall. Every star needs a sidekick. Sure enough, Deborah Soe has become something of an

intellectual celebrity in recent years,

thanks to her popular columns in the Globe and Mail newspaper

and her appearances on Joe Rogin and Bill Maher.
