THR's chief TV critic, Dan Feinberg. Hi, Dan. What up, Leslie? Yeah, it's a good week. Wife's home from shooting in Vancouver after 18 days. So, yeah, it's good. And we're on to October. So, yay, October. Hope everyone had a good September, And October, of course, can only mean one thing. Playoff baseball. Spooky season. Oh, yeah, playoff baseball. Jeez, I can't. If anyone can believe that I just set Leslie up for that and she decided to go with a Halloween-related transition as opposed to a baseball-related transition. It's like I don't even know you anymore, Leslie. I know. It's like I don't even know myself right now. I went for the broader angle, Dan, instead, you know, I know our listeners are not always big fans when we talk baseball. Well, and we're not really going to talk baseball here. We're just talking October. So we might talk baseball in upcoming weeks, but, you know, not today, I'll talk baseball and say, like, I really hope the Dodgers can win the West, because I don't want to go into the playoffs in a wild card. But that's just me being greedy, because we're slated to go into the playoffs either way. I was going to say, the Giants need to lose, and currently the Giants are not losing, ergo, nothing to be done about that.

And never underestimate the value of a contract season for a lot of these guys.

Stinking giants.

They're just playing out of their heads. Nothing to be said about that. And obviously,

not just out of their heads, because you play 162 games, the best teams do eventually end up towards the top. So anyway.

It's the same team as last year. It's the last couple years. They were terrible. It's the exact same team. What changed? Oh, yeah. They're like, oh, I guess I got to play good because I got to get paid next year. That is a very cynical attitude, Leslie, to think. I'm a Dodger fan. I have cynical things to say about giants. All right right. And heaven knows that the, uh, the team in baseball with the highest payroll should

definitely be cynical about the team with players playing for money.
