The most important thing is you don't want to try to steer your kid off of the subject they're asking about because they're there

That's the subject they're on and they are not they are young adults

They have a whole lot more stress a whole lot more to deal with now than we even did

So we can't treat them like they are less than we have to really treat them like they are just smaller sized

Adults and they will respond to that when you are meeting them as sort of an equal instead of I am you are authority figure telling you

What to do and where to steer the conversation and you just get to be really transparent like I don't really know how to respond to that question because it freaks me out

But I really appreciate that you even asked me that means you trusted me

Yeah, that's what you would say right and what the most important thing I'm finding is as long as a kid has some trusted adult to go to it does not have to be their parent
