Historic events always seem to happen in Cincinnati, Scott.

First, 2003, Derek Jeter named Captain of the New York Yankees.

20 years later, 2023, the Aaron Hicks era is officially over.

You know what?

I wasn't going to do victory laps here with getting Aaron Judge Aaron Hicks out of there

because I still have another piece for my, my, my, my, my, my, my bull prediction really

was in two pieces.

It had to do with a minor league guy coming up as well.

But the Aaron Hicks thing, it just makes so much sense.

And frankly, would I see Greg Allen giving me the effort that he's given me?

Makes even more sense. That guy can run. He can field. He can do all the things. And

Aaron Hicks, you know what, just has a bad attitude and wants to play golf. And guess what?

Now he can watch the final Sunday of the PGA. Congratulations.

So Luis Severino made his return to the mound today.

Ordinarily, that's a lead for our podcast.

But when Aaron Hicks gets DFAed, that supersedes it.

And that is the lead here.
