Summary

Luis Severino will make his next start in the Bronx! This is huge news, as the Yankees are turning over a new leaf. Instead of trading their young talent for rental players they are counting on their system to produce talent that can help them at the major league level. Scott and I discuss expectations for Severino, the news that Pineda was placed on the DL, the series vs Texas and Chicago, and answer a voicemail. What's up, everybody, the Bronx Pinstripe Show? We are recording this on a Sunday morning

just after the trade deadline on Friday. Hope you caught our trade deadline episode. Scott, good morning. How you doing? Good morning. See the dedication we have to the Bronx Pinstripe Show on the Bronx Faithful? We are up at 7 o'clock in the morning recording this podcast so that we can go on through our day and do our things that we need to do. So 7 a.m. a little early for us. Our voices probably sound a little bit different. Yeah, I'm pounding the coffee. You too. Sorry for getting you up pretty early. This is my fault since I'm going to the beach today. I drag Scott up at 7 a.m. to get this done. But yeah, hopefully we're not too groggy. And we get through this with some energy. Yeah, I know. I mean, I'm better at seven in the morning than I am 11 at night. So I'd rather do this. Let's do it. So how's Mattingly doing? Mattingly's good, man. Mattingly is, so we're crate training her. And she's, so we have a pretty regimented schedule. The first week, we'll probably do it for about two weeks where she's you know in the crate for portions of the day so they we can kind of control that bladder and get her uh get her house broken ASAP so we don't have to deal with that because that's probably the worst thing is dealing with a dog who takes a takes a dump or pisses in your house consistently right so you want to you want to nip that one the butt, so that's what we're doing. So she's good. You might hear her crying downstairs because usually she's out and running around right now. We'll have to get her on the podcast one time. Yeah, yeah, maybe later, maybe next season. That's what I was saying. I think when I showed the picture of our new mascot, I said she's in rigorous training right now, and she'll be ready for 2016 spring training.

Well, I mean, if the Yankees go in a deep playoff run or even win the World Series, I think Maddingley is the reason why. I mean, it's got to be. It's possible, yeah. I mean, you never know. She's been, she's named after one of the, one of the all-time great.

3:08.5

So she's, uh, it would be apropos. Let's do it. Interesting that you named, Maddenly is a great name for a dog, but, you know, that Mattingley was sort of the, the rate before the 90s dynasty, probably a lot of. And that makes me sad every time I think about it because, because, you know,

3:25.7

there's not a guy who deserves to be on a good team more than Don Madingly because he was on such

3:31.7

terrible teams. And, you know, that lost to Seattle in 95 was his last season. And the year that
