0:44.1	Peter Brand is Professor of Egyptology at the University of Memphis in Tennessee, in the United

0:50.7	His specialty is the early Ramesid period, the reigns of Setti the First, Remices the Second,
0:56.6	and the political and cultural legacies of this important phase. Most notably, his first book,
1:02.7	The Monuments of Setti the First, examined the reign of this pharaoh from the perspective
1:07.5	of his architectural legacy, and how that reflects his political, religious, and
1:12.7	cultural ideals. More recently, his newest book, Rameses II, Egypt's ultimate Pharaoh, explores the
1:20.7	legacy of Sete the First and the spectacular reign of his son, often called Rameses the Great.
