Oh hi there, I'm Gabby Dunn and this is bad with money

When I first started this show, I had no financial background and no financial education or future

I did not know what my credit cards were, I did not know what my student loans were, and I had no concept of how taxes worked

I had a baseline of zero

Many of you were there for it, you witnessed it firsthand

So the idea of setting a goal, any goal for my money, was laughable

I wouldn't have even known where to start

But eventually, I did start

I started on this show, you guys heard it, and I started crying

Yes, I did actually open my bank account and spend three to four days alternating between writing down what I was spending on

Building out some idea of what my input and output was financially and sobbing on the floor

This entire process has been painful, it's still painful, and I've been doing this show for nine seasons

This is the middle of the ninth season, and I still cry about money sometimes

One piece of advice that I hear a lot from my friends who are successful, not just financially, but in their careers or family lives or personal lives

is that they had to narrow down their goals
