This infinite resource of creativity will shrink to nothing in the face of an infinite need for more.

And we have to get past that and say, I don't want infinity. I am firing the New York Times.

It's not on my agenda.

It does not exist for me.

I am not writing to make them happy.

Instead, there's a thousand people I seek to serve.

That's enough.

If I change the life of a thousand people with my creative work, it's enough.
