Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the Morning Mindset. It is time for you and for me to

get our minds aligned with God's truth today. I hope that you're ready to do that. We

are doing so by looking at the Book of Acts and we are in chapter 12 moving into chapter

13 today. We're picking up in the middle of a story where Barnabas and a guy named Saul

have a traveling around together and Barnabas has been kind of taking Saul under his wing and

teaching him about Christ and leading him and how to share the message of Christ with others.

And an interesting thing is going to happen today. Among the leaders of the church, let's begin

reading in chapter 12 verse 25 says,

Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their service bringing with them

John whose other name was Mark. Okay, sound now. If you remember, Barnabas and Saul had taken some

relief to the people who were in Jerusalem. They had taken some funds, perhaps some food, some things

that had been given as gifts to those in Jerusalem who were undergoing a state of famine at the time.

And so now they're returning to the place that they came from and continuing on in chapter 13.

It says, now there were in the church at Antioch, prophets and teachers. Barnabas,

Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Mananne, a lifelong friend of Herodotetraq and Saul.

While they were worshiping the Lord in fasting, the Holy Spirit said,

set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I've called them.

Then after fasting and praying, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

Now this is very interesting because it shows both a practice and a situation that we need to have

our hearts and minds open to today. These devout believers, all these men who were mentioned

were gathered together in worship and the Holy Spirit came among them and he spoke to them.
