Welcome to Set Apart Daughters, a proud episode of the Setap Our Daughter's podcast where you will be empowered, encouraged, and equipped to become the woman that God asked you to be.

0:38.0

I'm your host, Denise Copeland, and I'm so pumped that you're joining me on this week's

0:41.5

episode because I have an amazing announcement to make today.

0:46.2

And that is that the book sit apart.

0:48.8

Stop comparing on your giftedness and rest in Jesus is out into the world.

0:54.0

That's right, sis. The book sitter part is out into the world. That's right, sis. The books set apart is out

0:56.5

into the world. It's out for ordering. It's out for you to share with your friends. And you get to read

1:02.4

and have a copy of the message that God had laid in my heart for me to write. So the purpose of

1:08.3

me writing set apart was that God in his word tells us, right,

1:13.2

that we are set apart people, that God chose us and he set us apart for a specific purpose, right?

1:21.7

Once we are called, right, he sets us apart for a specific task to do exactly what he called us to do to glorify him.

1:30.7

And what does that look like?

1:32.2

Many of us women have different unique giftings that God has given us, and we are to use it for the glory of God and for the kingdom.

1:39.2

Now, there are many of us that don't know what that gifting is.

1:43.5

And if you like me struggle to find out what that gifting is, like for example, when I first became a wife, I was like, okay, I'm a wife. Like, what am I supposed to be doing? Like, I still didn't know what my gifting was or what was I supposed to be doing. I was still learning my role as a wife and really just learning the new role.

2:17.7

Then I became a mother, right? And I'm like, okay, now this is getting real. So what is my gifting? You know, am I just supposed to be raising these kids? Which yes, I'm supposed to be nurturing and raising my children in the way of the Lord. But then there was this part of me that I was like, man, I know God has given me a gift to do and operate for His kingdom and glory. What is that? And so navigating through that and just

2:23.9

really allowing myself to ask the Lord to show me and reveal to me what is my gift and the

2:29.7

gifting that he has given me. And so my gifting, for example, it's just showing hospitality. I love

2:35.5

opening my home to people and to complete strangers. I love opening my house and showing hospitality.

2:42.0

And so that I know is one of my primary giftings. And so you sister have a gift. You that are

2:47.3

listening right now, you have a gift. God has called you. He set you apart for a plan, for a purpose. And how do we operate on a gift in this without comparing ourselves to other women? Because we're all different, right? And there's that temptation to look to the left and to the right and see what others are doing. And wanting to do the same thing that they're doing, and be in the same position that they're in.

3:09.3

But that's not what God has called us.
