Hello, hello, beautiful sisters in Christ. Welcome back to another episode of the Setap Our Daughters

podcast where you will be empowered, encouraged, and equipped to become the woman that God has

created you to be. I'm your host, Denise Copeland, and I'm so happy that you're joining me on this

week's episode. I hope you have been enjoying the last

few episodes prior to this one. I know it has blessed me and I've been getting a lot of

feedback from different sisters in Christ and it's just been amazing. I hope you're enjoying

the holidays and just the season, cold weather, the snow, wherever it is that you're listening from.

I hope that you are staying encouraged and rooted in the Word of God.

Now, this week we're going to be talking about being set apart for sanctification.

So before we get into all of that, we're going to define the word sanctification.

What is sanctification meaning? And the Greek meaning of that is hagiaspones, which means holiness or to make holy. Now, the meaning of

sanctification is to basically sanctify, to set someone or something apart for God's use, basically. In this case, it will be for God's use. So when we sanctify something, when God sanctifies something or someone, it is to be used for His purpose, for God's purpose. So you and I, sister, have been sanctified, right? Through the blood of

his son, Jesus Christ, we've been sanctified. We've been set apart to be used for a specific

purpose here on earth by God himself. Now, humans can't sanctify themselves. It's not something

that you just do out of your own strength. It's not something that you do out of your own power or out of your own flesh. No, the one that does the sanctification is the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit of God that dwells within you. When you repent from your sins and you put your hope in your faith in Jesus,

the Holy Spirit comes and lives in the inside of you.

And that is the person that sanctifies us, that conform us into the image of Jesus Christ.

So this is something that only the Spirit of God can do.

Only the Holy Spirit will sanctify us to become more like Jesus.
