the book of First Peter once again. We're in First Peter chapter three versus 14 through 16 is what

we're looking at this week. Now we've been talking about what it looks like to

live a Christian life when people are potentially mistreating you for being a Christian.

And Peter has told us we are to see our lives as lives that are intended to be a blessing,

even when people mistreat us for living out that blessing.

And so here in verse 14, he continues on. He says, even if you should suffer for righteousness

sake, you will be blessed. Now, we talked about that last time that God's the one who will bless us.

But now he's going to go on and tell us

some more of our mindset switch. So before we get into that, let's pray that God will be our teacher

today. Lord God, guide us, help us, instruct us as we lay our hearts open before you and ask you to

write upon our hearts your instruction for this day,
