A sad day for Mike Golic.

A happy day yesterday as the United States upset Canada.

Do you believe in minor upsets? Yes, but they upset Canada, Mike.

But a sad day for you because no one, there is no one I know that loves the winter games

more than you, Mike Golick, Sr. And now they're over. I mean, I know. I know. I mean,

especially with the time difference, I could get up in the morning and watch live events.

I mean, you know, you've done morning shows. I've done morning shows forever. It was always something special when you had a live event in the morning.

Always. You know, it was a little tougher when you were actually doing a show and had to pay

attention to the show and just kind of peripheral look at the TVs right you're doing the show

and the fifth set of fetter and uh and jokovic is going on at the Australian Open exactly now

I've just got my cup of coffee my donut and I'm watching live winter Olympics it was friggin' awesome for two weeks. Yes. I mean, we had two days there, guys, where we were doing live radio shows with the United States playing meaningful hockey games. It was crazy. So you're right, Mike. I'm going to miss that. I think what people love about the Olympics is you just get sports on your television all day long. That's it.

They don't care what kind of sports they are or if they're sports they're familiar with.

It's just sports and competition. And the thing about it is, is nobody's watching all the live

events of alpine skiing and, you know, all the different of biathlon and luge and bobsled.

So you could, you could watch it all day.

Later in the day, it's on tape, but you hadn't seen it live.

So it's still kind of new to you.

So you literally could watch all day and be entertained.

Mike, what was the Golick household like as that USA Canada game is going into overtime and it's three on three and there's a ton of open ice for maybe the fastest skater ever.
