Let me open this up in a word of prayer.

I want to close our time out pretty much saying,

if you don't have this, none of what we just said works.

And then I just want to talk to you about what this is,

bring up a few points, and then we can call it a night.

Let me pray for us.

God, you have deposited so much into us already this evening, Lord God.

It was just, it was good.

I feel like Peter on the Mount of Transfiguration,

when he's saying, it's just good to be here.

And Lord, all the wisdom that I've received,

just sitting even on this panel, has been a good thing.

Now Lord God, once again, would you stand in my body?

Think with my mind.

Speak with my tongue.

Those things you'd have us know say and do.

I'm available to you, Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.

It was De Martin Lloyd Jones, that great mid-20th century London preacher

who actually said Matthew chapter seven is the scariest chapter in the New Testament.

There's a lot of truth to that.

It's Jesus reaching kind of the crescendo of His sermon on the Mount.

And He says some frightening stuff.
