Today I'm going to go straight in and share with you something that God has put on my heart today.

I'm going to talk about serving in your struggle, serving in your struggle.

I want to go first of all to a Bible verse in 1st King chapter 17

and share an encounter that Prophet Elijah had with the widow of Sarephat.

And this is something that when I read this, I actually get shocked.

It's quite shocking to me.

Let's go into scripture.

First King 17, verse 8.

Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah saying, arise, go to Saraphat, which belongs to

Saigon and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. So he arose and went to

Saraphat. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there, gathering sticks. And he

called to her and said, please, bring me a little water in a cup that I may drink.

And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, please also, bring my morsel of bread in your hand.

So she replied and said, as the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread.

Only a handful of flour in a bin and a little oil in a jar.

And see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.

And Elijah said to her, do not fear. Go and do as you have said, but make me a small

cake from it first and bring it to me. And afterward, make some for yourself and your son.

Now, this Bible verse here, it shocks me a lot because I have never in the whole scripture seen any man of God who is more insensitive to someone's plight.
